About the founder in charge

The hardest part of mathematical consulting is translating the problem into equations. That translation needs both systematic mathematical training and resolution on the actual business problem.

Our founder, Go Komura, graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Kyushu University, and has since worked as a software engineer on device control, communications, and long-running systems development and bug investigation. Wanting to bring mathematics beyond the laboratory and into decisions made on the ground is what started this service.

How we proceed

Problem hearing and feasibility judgment We organize the current workflow, the pain points, and the constraints. We judge "is this solvable by math?" at this stage, and if it isn't, we'll say so honestly (free up to the initial judgment).

Mathematical modeling and optimization We clearly formulate the objective function (what to minimize or maximize) and the constraints, then solve the model and derive improvement proposals.

Improvement report and rollout support We report in the form of "X% reduction vs. current" or "Y hours of work saved." If tool implementation or operational changes are needed, that work is handled separately.

It sounds difficult — does our side need to understand the math?

No. We handle everything from hearing out the problem, translating it into equations, and interpreting the results. All you need to do is share the rules and constraints of your operations.

Have there been cases where you said the problem could not be solved with math?

Yes. In those cases we say so honestly and decline the engagement. We do not try to force a mathematical solution onto problems where most of the judgment is inherently human or case-by-case.

In what form do we receive the results?

As a PDF report. If needed, we can also provide Excel calculation sheets or Python scripts.

How is confidential information handled?

We sign an NDA. Confidential data such as shift records or sales figures can also be deleted once the analysis is complete.
